Nineteen years ago, Thomas Nitz pursued his dream to live in Arizona. He left an incredibly successful business in the Midwest to blaze a new trail in Arizona so he could be closer to his family and hasn’t looked back.

When the Nitz family relocated to the Northwest Valley from Chicago, Tom decided he would work for himself and rebuild his business, Interiors by Thomas. He decided the business would primarily serve those living in the active-adult communities. 

Tom’s original goal was to create a business that would support his family and allow him to have the flexibility of and independence that he loves. However, fast-forward 18 years, and Interiors by Thomas has become a family business, with several family members helping Tom achieve his goals including his son Ronnie Nitz, daughter Amanda Tomczak, nephew Raymond Nitz, and his mother-inlaw, Donna Malnar.

Tom says his favorite part of his business is working with his clients to help them make their home improvement ideas come to life. Tom admits, “I have a unique ability to listen to my clients needs and visualize how their project will come together before we start.”

While Interiors by Thomas can assist clients with small renovation projects, Tom and his team are passionate about the handyman services they offer to homeowners on a daily basis. Tom says, “There isn’t a project too small for us to handle. Many of clients call to have us replace light bulbs because they are unable to climb up a ladder.”

Some of the handyman services Interiors by Thomas offer includes: installation of ceiling fans, shower doors, screen doors and showerheads. They can also assemble furniture purchased at big box stores. In addition to these services, Interiors by Thomas specializes in providing exceptional painting services. They can paint your room, your cabinets or your entire house (inside and out), and design a custom media cabinet that fits your home perfectly.
