Cold and Cloudy?

Living in the Valley of the Sun offers more beautiful days than bad. But when the weather doesn’t cooperate, it can be easy to feel restless when you’re stuck inside. Instead of getting frustrated, take the time to find ways to have fun while still being inside your home.

Reorganize or redecorate

Consider purchasing affordable, decorative baskets to hold papers, books and other items that can clutter your home. Once organized, you can add accent pillows and decorative accessories like lamps, throws and pictures to complete the look.

Movie day
Instead of making a trip to the movie theater, bring the movie theater home—complete with all the trimmings. Gather some of your favorite movies, snacks and candies for your own little film festival. Consider sticking to a theme, like a favorite actor, genre or era to make a memorable day of it!

Snatch up a book
Spend a relaxing afternoon working your way through a book on your “must read” list. Find a quiet, comfortable space you enjoy, pur yourself a relaxing drink and leave your smart phone in another room so you won’t be tempted by interruptions.

Whether curled up with a book or hosting family and friends for a movie extravaganza, never underestimate the fun you can have in those rare moments when weather doesn’t cooperate. Write out a plan for making the most of your next indoor day so you’re ready when it arrives!
