Savor Spring: Get out and enjoy the sun!

Posted

• Purchase bundles of fresh flowers and place them around your home.

• Don’t miss “The Shack” (playing now at a theater near you).

• Host a movie night for friends and family in your backyard.

• Replace tattered pool towels with some fresh vibrant ones.

• Pack a picnic dinner and head to the park. Don’t forget to pack a blanket, a book to read together or some music to make the most of your time.

• Watch “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.”

• Replace your mismatched outdoor plastic cups and plates with a fresh set from your favorite store.

• Make a playlist of your favorite spring songs.

• Grab your favorite friends and a bottle of wine and head to the driving range.

• Revisit your childhood by inviting the neighbors over for a game of flashlight tag.

• Check out “Beauty and the Beast” (showing now at a theater near you).

• Take some time to make Ziploc bags for the homeless so you can give them something practical when you see someone at a light looking for help. You might consider placing items in the bag like travel sized toothpaste, a toothbrush, a comb, a clean pair of socks, a small bottle of water, a pack of gum and an encouraging note.

• As you power through your spring cleaning, create bins for items that can be donated to various shelters around the Valley.

• Toss out last year’s freezer burned popsicles and ice cream treats and refresh them with new flavors.
