This past March 19, Leolinda received a Lifetime Membership award in the President’s Round Table from the West Maricopa County Regional Association of REALTORS® (WeMAR). Her Lifetime Membership is the result of her sales volume over the past three consecutive years. It’s an accomplishment achieved by less than 1 percent of all real estate agents.

After the ceremony, I asked Leolinda how she became so successful so fast.

"Its really about hard work, and the joy I get from seeing buyers happy when I find them the right house, or sellers who get a quick and satisfying transaction at the best possible price," she replied. "Its about not being afraid to work 10 hours a day on behalf of my clients, then waking up to do it all over again the next day."

A naturally gregarious person with a hearty laugh, Leolinda was born and raised on the Big Island in Hilo, Hawaii. She lives with her husband, Woody, in Sun City Grand, and she’s also a property owner in Sun City West.

A former chemical engineer for Phelps Dodge Copper Products, Leolinda has a nose for the research it takes to know the "right price" on transactions. "I love to see what each home model is selling for, and to help clients gauge the value of location, upgrades, and other positive and negative aspects," she says.

Leolinda works out of Ken Meade Realtys Sun City Grand office, but she is knowledgeable about the residential market throughout the Northwest Valley.

Much of her business in recent years has come from the referrals of satisfied buyers and sellers. "I couldnt have achieved the success I’ve reached without them," says Leolinda. "I believe they value me for my honesty, and that gives them the confidence to recommend me to others," she notes.

In addition to her background in the sciences, Leolinda also has an MBA with a concentration in project management. This organizational skill, along with a talented team of specialists, helps her in making transactions smooth for her clients. "Project management is about processes," notes Leolinda. "I’ve developed processes for all scenarios. I have checklists galore."

One of her three grown children helped her develop her web site, leolinda.com, that each month receives thousands of visits. "It’s not only a great marketing assistant for my listings, but it’s also a source of news, information and community events throughout the West Valley," she says. Leolinda is constantly striving to learn more to help her clients. An inveterate blogger, Leolinda uses the Internet to keep up with the latest news and ideas with other residential real estate professionals, here in Arizona and throughout the nation.

In 2007, she became a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a designation achieved by less than 4 percent of all Realtors®. In 2008, she became an Associate Broker with Ken Meade Realty. "You can never know too much," she adds.
