Choosing a dentist is not always an easy task. There are at least two things to consider: How long have they been in practice?; Would their patients recommend them? Dr. Jack Luftman's practice in Sun City West has been in the same location since it was established in 1982, and much of the business comes from the referrals of satisfied patients.

Dr. Luftman graduated from the University of Toronto in 1970. The Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto is the largest dental school in Canada, and is a globally recognized research and teaching facility. Dr. Luftman practiced dentistry in Canada for nine years before immigrating to the U.S. In 1979, he established a general and restorative dental practice in Phoenix before opening another practice in Sun City West. Dr. Luftman especially enjoys this location because the population shares a value system and morality that he grew up with and believes in.

Much of Dr. Luftman's staff has been working with him for over 10 years. They are all open to answering questions about costs, insurance coverage, and procedures which may help patients make decisions regarding treatment. "Our patients appreciate that we offer them choices for their dental treatment," says Dr. Luftman. "Often there is more than one way to achieve a desired end result. We make sure we offer those alternatives. We only diagnose and recommend needed treatment." Free second opinions are available to interested patients during regular office hours. Dr. Luftman's practice also offers cosmetic dentistry, as well as implant restorations, bleaching, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and partial and full dentures. If you are in need of emergency assistance, call the office and the staff will do their best to accommodate you.

For the initial visit, Dr. Luftman likes to consult with his patients to learn their wants and needs as well as their expectations. He determines a possible course of treatment considering all of the options. He can then work with his patients to create an individualized plan that fits their medical and financial needs. Dr. Luftman feels that there is an element of creativity to his work and he is not happy unless his patients are completely satisfied. "We are experienced enough to know that, at times, a specialists' care is needed. We will not hesitate to recommend one of the outstanding specialists we have worked with for years," Dr. Luftman explains. "The best care of the patient is our top priority." It is this philosophy, and many positive referrals, that has allowed his practice to grow exponentially since it was established over 30 years ago.

When Dr. Luftman isn't working, you can always find him spending time with his wife, Barbara, or with his two daughters and his grandchildren.
